Accessibility Statement

Summit Cleaning & Restoration is committed to making our website usable for everyone — including people who use assistive technology.

Last updated: July 3, 2026 · Next review: January 3, 2027

Plain-language summary

Summit Cleaning & Restoration is committed to giving every visitor — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, and other assistive technology — an equivalent experience on this website. We target the internationally recognized WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard. If any content is hard to access, tell us and we will fix it — the feedback details are below and we aim to respond within two business days.

1. Our commitment

Summit Cleaning & Restoration believes that access to information, and to the ability to request restoration and cleaning services, is a right. We work to make this website accessible to the widest possible audience, including visitors with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities, and visitors using assistive technology such as screen readers, speech-recognition software, and alternative input devices. We also align with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act.

2. Conformance target

Target standard: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA — published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and widely adopted as the U.S. digital-accessibility benchmark.

Current conformance status: We consider this website to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the website meets the standard, but some content may not fully meet it — either because we are still improving it, because it is provided by a third party outside our control, or because it is legacy content we are actively remediating.

3. What we've done

  • Semantic markup — headings, lists, landmarks, and page regions are marked up so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
  • Keyboard operability — the site's primary navigation, dropdowns, forms, links, and buttons are operable with a keyboard alone (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space). Visible focus rings are preserved.
  • Color contrast — brand color pairings used for body text and UI meet or exceed WCAG AA (verified: primary-on-white ≥ 9.5:1; text-on-primary ≥ 17:1; accent-on-white ≥ 5.8:1; ink-on-white ≥ 9.0:1).
  • Alternative text — informative images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images carry an empty alt attribute so screen readers skip them.
  • Responsive & mobile-friendly — layouts adapt to phones, tablets, and desktop; text can be resized to 200% without loss of function.
  • Form labels & errors — every form field has a programmatic label; errors are announced to assistive tech, not just shown as color.
  • Skip-to-content — a visible skip link appears on first keyboard focus so screen-reader users can bypass repetitive navigation.
  • Reduced-motion support — CSS-based animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion user preference.
  • Ongoing testing — we run automated accessibility checks (Lighthouse, axe) in our build pipeline and perform manual keyboard + screen-reader passes on major changes.

4. Known limitations & ongoing work

We're continuously improving. Areas we are actively working on:

  • Third-party embeds (an embedded map, review widget, or financing application) may not meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We advocate with those providers for improvements and provide alternate contact paths (phone, email) so no visitor is excluded.
  • Legacy PDFs & downloadable documents — some older documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need a document in an accessible format, request one and we will provide it.
  • Legacy imagery — a small number of images imported from the prior site may have generic alt text. We are rewriting these as part of Stage 2 content work.

5. Feedback path — tell us if something is hard to use

If you find a barrier on this website — an image without meaningful alt text, a form that doesn't work with a keyboard, a color contrast issue, a downloadable document that isn't accessible, or anything else that keeps you from using the site — please tell us so we can fix it. We aim to respond within two business days.

  • Email: [email protected] (subject line "Accessibility feedback")
  • Phone: 800-769-1553 (24/7 coordinator — say you have an accessibility question and we will route you)
  • Mail: Summit Cleaning & Restoration, 1875 Pacific Ct SE, Stayton, OR 97383, Attn: Accessibility

Please include the page URL, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology (or the browser / OS) you were using. That helps us reproduce the issue and fix it quickly.

6. Alternative ways to reach us

If any part of this website is not accessible to you, you can always request service or ask a question by calling 800-769-1553 — our 24/7 coordinator answers live and can take your request without any website interaction.

7. Review cadence

We review this statement and re-test the site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA at least every six months, and after any major redesign or content push. The next scheduled review is January 3, 2027.

8. Formal complaints

If your feedback is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may file a complaint under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, or with your state Attorney General. We would prefer, however, to hear from you first so we can make the fix directly — reach out using any of the paths in Section 5 above.
